Kathmandu University Open Source Community

KUOSC is the Open Source related wing of KUCC. It is a vibrant historic community from Kathmandu University which provides a common platform for all FOSS enthusiasts to discuss, share, and learn about free and open source softwares. KUOSC is specifically focused on all the Open Source related activities ranging from training programs like Linux Talks, Useful Network Training to advocacy activities like Software Freedom Day celebration and organizing different community level workshops and events.

Kathmandu University Computer Club

Kathmandu University Computer Club KUCC is a non-profit, independent club formed by students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in the year 1997. Being registered as the first club of Kathmandu University with the registration number 001/1997 in the Student Welfare, KUCC has worked in the field of ICT for twenty years. As an autonomous community supported by the esteemed Kathmandu University Computer Club (KUCC), KUOSC radiates the same spirit of technological excellence and collaboration.

What We Do?

Training Programs

We offer a diverse range of training programs, including Linux Talks, Workshops and Bootcamps, to equip our members with essential skills in Open Source technologies through online and offline mediums.

Advocacy Activities

We actively participate in various advocacy activities, such as celebrating Software Freedom Day, organizing community-level workshops, and spreading awareness about the importance of Free and Open Source Software.

One of our primary focuses is on initiating and maintaining a wide array of open-source projects that are thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs and challenges faced by the local community.
